Professional Development Session

Format: Mixed model, 2 hour interactive session; Prior to the session: read background information, selection from state publication, and handouts. View the PowerPoint presentations. During the session, discussion and group work.

Developmentally appropriate practice demands that early childhood programming and assessment be appropriate for the population being served. This section contains demographic information specific to California’s children. Prior to the session, participants access and read the background information, the selection from state publications and handouts, and view the PowerPoints. During the session, participants will reflect on the readings and resources and will create a bullet list of important considerations to remember about the children in California.
