California is a state of great cultural diversity. This wide range of cultures provides California with an exciting and diverse set of cultural resources. Understanding and supporting children’s culture and language in preschool is of utmost importance. Prior to the session, participants read background information and selected pages from the framework. Participants will also be asked to become familiar with the state publication, Preschool English Learners. During the interactive session, participants will discuss the resources. Participants will also be expected to attend PEL trainings offered around the state.
