Format: Mixed model, 2 hour interactive session; Prior to the session: read background information, selected state publication pages, and handouts. View PowerPoint. During the session, discussion and group work.
In an effort to provide the highest quality programs for children and families as well as provide support and resources to teachers and programs, the California Department of Education, Child Development Division created The California Early Learning and Development system. The research-based system includes foundations, frameworks, assessment and accountability with resources and professional development. Prior to the session, participants read background information, selected state publication pages and handouts, and view the PowerPoint presentation. During the interactive session, participants will reflect upon and discuss the resources they have reviewed for this session.
