Research has shown that children’s language development begins in infancy and is an ongoing process in which young children expand and refine their knowledge and use of language largely with the help of facilitating adults. Participants will be introduced to the Language and Literacy domain and gain information on how to engage children in an interactive reading process to help the child become the co-teller of the story while they develop vocabulary, comprehension, reasoning, and thinking skills.
