Region 5 - Inclusion Works!

"Inclusion Works!" is a California Department of Education (CDE) resource focused on creating inclusive early care and education programs. It provides guidance and resources for child care providers to promote belonging and support the participation of children with disabilities in all aspects of the learning environment. The second edition of "Inclusion Works!" is an updated resource that includes information on recent policies and position papers related to inclusive practices.

Learning Objectives: 

• Define inclusive practice, describe collaboration, and share practical strategies. 
• Discuss the intended use in child care settings for children birth through age 12 years. 
• Review resources included in appendices as well as weblinks on the MAP to Inclusion and Belonging website.
