Create a classroom culture that enriches learning by impacting and shaping the growth of student’s social interaction skills! Group learning involves social interaction and how to participate constructively in a social environment. The ease and skill with which children interact with adults and peers, and the competence with which they assume their roles and responsibilities as group members, significantly influence how they learn. This session will focus on understanding the development of students’ skills to work with others, and to participate as group members, contributing to successful large and small group learning opportunities. Current research and resources from the CA Department of Education will be examined; practical classroom strategies will be shared; materials will be provided.
