Join us for a series of two virtual sessions on the new California Preschool/Transitional Kindergarten Learning Foundations Language and Literacy Development Domain. Discover how children ages three to five and a half build a strong foundation in language and literacy and explore effective strategies for fostering rich learning experiences that support their growth. Deepen your knowledge of the domain by unfolding the two complementary subdomains: Foundational Language Development and English Language Development.

 Objectives:

Review the PTKLF Language and Literacy Development (LLD) domain for children aged three to five-and-a-half years.

Introduce key developmentally appropriate strategies highlighted in the LLD domain.

Build an understanding of the Foundational Language Development (FLD) and English Language Development (ELD) subdomains.

Gain an understanding of how the Language and Literacy Development Domain is representative and inclusive of children's cultures, languages, and lived experiences.
