Children's successes shape their sense of what they can do and drive their efforts to acquire new skills. Their achievements influence children's self-concept, and self-confidence. Young children value learning for themselves because it is valued by the people who matter to them. Participants will learn classroom strategies to support healthy development among preschool children and ideas for designing the classroom to support children’s growth.
This workshop will introduce the domain of social-emotional development and describe behaviors that are typical of preschool children. We will look at the key components of the Foundations and Frameworks Vol 1, emphasizing two areas: friendships and attachment email aphelps@tehamaschools.org
