CompSAT — the companion to the California ECE Competencies.
In the early 1990s, the California Department of Education Child Development Division created a vision for large-scale, systemic quality improvement of early care and education programs for all of the state's young children. That vision resulted in a set of integrated tools for practitioners that include the Early Childhood Foundations and Frameworks, the Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP), the Early Childhood Educator Competencies, and the Competencies-based Self-Assessment Toolkit (CompSAT).
