STEM: 8:30am-11:30am
- Identify STEM components in an early childhood classroom.
- Discuss dynamic planning for Developmentally Appropriate STEM environments and interactions/ conversations.
- Discover how this approach includes universal design for learning.
- Recognize how this approach supports dual language learners
PLAY: 12:30pm-3:30pm
- Discuss the purpose of this publication, The Powerful Role of Play in Early Education, through reading and discussion.
- Explore the research-based connections between play and learning through group activities and readings.
- Experience the benefits and debunk common myths about play and learning.
- Consider planning opportunities for individualization and scaffolding within the reflective planning cycle.
