Please join us for this In-Person training! During these two hands-on and interactive sessions, we will focus on Itegrated STEM in Early Childhood and The Powerful Role of PLay in Early Education!

STEM: 8:30am-11:30am

  • Identify STEM components in an early childhood classroom.
  • Discuss dynamic planning for Developmentally Appropriate STEM environments and interactions/ conversations.
  • Discover how this approach includes universal design for learning.
  • Recognize how this approach supports dual language learners

PLAY: 12:30pm-3:30pm

  • Discuss the purpose of this publication, The Powerful Role of Play in Early Education, through reading and discussion.
  • Explore the research-based connections between play and learning through group activities and readings.
  • Experience the benefits and debunk common myths about play and learning.
  • Consider planning opportunities for individualization and scaffolding within the reflective planning cycle.
