Region 11 - Best Practices for Planning Curriculum for Young Children: Family Partnerships and Culture: Overview

Participants will review the components and structure of the Family Partnerships and Culture document.  Participants will explore both current research and evidence-based practices offering a comprehensive view of how to include family and culture in curriculum planning. Additional topics include how to develop effective partnerships with families to build on family and cultural strengths that are supportive of families as they try to manage stress in their daily lives. These strategies will augment other best practices in early education programs in order to create high-quality early learning experiences that contribute to children’s well-being and successful development.
