During this session, participants will:

• Discuss how to intentionally plan with a focus on social-emotional development for young dual language learners.

• Explore the importance of establishing strong and meaningful relationships with students and families to promote social-emotional growth.

• Discuss the importance of getting to know each child and the English-language and social-emotional skills and knowledge the child may be developing.

• Review different types of strategies that support language and social-emotional development.

• Discover daily practice strategies for supporting children and building relationships.
