Spatial thinking is the process of children learning and understanding where their body is in relation to objects and people around them. This skill is important for many areas of development. It supports everyday functioning by promoting personal safety, and it strengthens physical development by helping children build balance and coordination. Spatial thinking also builds problem-solving skills by encouraging logical thinking, and it enhances social interactions by helping children respect personal space. In addition, it supports academic growth, playing an important role in learning math, reading, and writing.
