In this distance learning interactive series, participants will:

 Discuss the purpose of the publication, The Powerful Role of Play in Education, through reading and discussion.

 Explore the research-based connections between play, learning; including the impact of trauma on play, through group activities and readings.

 Discuss the benefits of play and learning

 Engage in strategies that address different types of play that support children impacted by stress and trauma to cope, build resilience and healing.

 Be required to do one hour of professional learning independently prior to each two-hour distance learning session.

Building Resiliency with Play Thursday, April 29, 2021 (DATE CHANGE)

Time: 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Who: Early educators of children 4-6 years of age

Cost: FREE (All participants must have a workforce registry number to enroll)

 Location: All session will be conducted virtually. Distance learning requires participants to have access to internet, email, and a digital

device for full participation.
