Young boys of color in early learning programs experience a disproportionate rate of exclusionary discipline, racism, educator biases, unresponsive instructional practices, and an unwelcoming environment. Join us in this three-part series as we explore the California Department of Education publication, “Creating Equitable Early Learning Environments for Young Boys of Color.” This in-person conversation series will provide practical strategies to create strengths-based, responsive early education environments for all young boys of color and their families to thrive. Participants will have opportunities to collaborate and engage in courageous conversations with other Early Learning and Care professionals as we explore, reflect, and study this fascinating research-based publication.
