This three-part series will provide participants with information and awareness on the extent of responsive early education for young children and families experiencing homelessness. In this Community of Practice participants will deepen knowledge through connecting and building relationships with each other while using protocols, reflections and discussions. Participants will be introduced to the Responsive Early Education for Young Children and Families Experiencing Homelessness publication (California Department of Education, 2019).

-Increase awareness of the various assumptions regarding homelessness

-Identify the role of early learning and care programs to support children and families experiencing homelessness

-Reflect on the critical role of trust in building relationships with families experiencing homelessness
