Social and emotional development is the foundation for overall development and learning. With adult support, children are developing awareness and understanding of their own emotions, thoughts, behaviors, abilities, and identities. Engage in thoughtful conversations with fellow educators to plan how to facilitate children’s social and emotional growth, which occurs simultaneously with development in all other areas of learning.
