Region 8 – PTKLF: Social Emotional Domain Overview - virtual

October 9, 2024 9:00am to 11:00am

Social and emotional development is the foundation for overall development and learning. Children are developing awareness of their own emotions, thoughts, behaviors, abilities and identities. As children develop these concepts, they are doing it simultaneously with development in all other areas of learning.

Learning Outcomes:
1. Review the PTKLF Social and Emotional Development (SED) domain for children aged three to five-and-a-half years.
2. Discuss the SED domain.
3. Identify how teachers can support SED.
4. Recognize the value of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
