For all children, identity and sense of self is linked to the language they speak and the culture in which they have been socialized. The term English Learners refers to children whose first language is not English, and children learning English for the first time.
In this workshop you will demonstrate comprehension of and practice using the English Language Development domain of the CA Preschool Learning Foundations and Frameworks strategies to guide intentional planning in the early childhood classroom that support culturally and linguistically responsive environments with strategies to support dual language learners.
