History and Social Science: Self & Society with a focus on the Marketplace

Come and explore the key concepts of history-social science in the preschool and transitional kindergarten setting. We’ll look at young children’s emerging sense of self, their growing interest in the larger social world in which they live, social roles, occupations, and the understanding of economic exchange. You'll engage in hands-on project-based activities, learn how to plan intentional play opportunities and discover research-based strategies to take back to the classroom.

Early childhood administrators, teachers, and anyone who works with or supports practitioners are welcome to attend and will leave with ideas and materials to use in the early childhood setting and/or to share with colleagues.
