Region 8 - Introduction to PTKLF - virtual

The purpose of the PTKLF is to: Provide a comprehensive view of the development of children aged three to five and a half (in preschool and transitional kindergarten settings), foster connections across domains, promote intentionality to support children along a developmental continuum, focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion, and emphasize learning experiences to foster joy and a sense of belonging.

Learning Outcomes:

• Review the organization of California Preschool/Transitional Kindergarten Learning Foundations (PTKLF) for children aged three to five and a half in early education programs.

• Explore how PTKLF promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

• Recognize the PTKLF Guiding Principles.
