Region 9 - Physical Development: Active Physical Play

• Discuss how developmentally appropriate movement programs accommodate a variety of individual differences among children.
• Review why children often learn best through maximum active participation.
• Support the notion that physical safety of children’s play environments should be of paramount importance at all times.
• Express how family members, working as partners with teachers, are key to enriching the physical development of children.
• Describe how the inclusion of children with special needs is beneficial to all and promotes greater understanding and respect for diversity.
• Recognize that children are multi-sensory learners with unique learning styles.

To receive professional development hours, participants will be required to have their CA ECE Workforce Registry number. This 9-digit number beginning with 100-xxx-xxx is required for registering.  Participants can access the Workforce Registry website to obtain their ID number. Please visit https://www.caregistry.org/ for details.
We are no longer providing attendance certificates to show proof of completion for any of our training. Professional development attendance hours will be directly entered into the California Workforce Registry (WFR). You can check your attendance in the WFR two weeks after the event, where you can download a copy of your training report for your records.
