To receive professional development hours, participants will be required to have their CA ECE Workforce Registry number. This 9-digit number beginning with 100-xxx-xxx is required for registering.  Participants can access the Workforce Registry website to obtain their ID number. Please visit https://www.caregistry.org/ for details.

We are no longer providing attendance certificates to show proof of completion for any of our training. Professional development attendance hours will be directly entered into the California Workforce Registry (WFR). You can check your attendance in the WFR two weeks after the event, where you can download a copy of your training report for your records.

To receive your full 3-hours of professional development, you will be expected to adhere to the following CPIN-approved virtual norms:

  • Be in a space where you are safe and free from distractions (i.e., not driving or in the classroom with children).
  • Log into the Zoom session, if possible, using a laptop or desktop computer with audio and video capabilities.
  • Be present for the entire session. If you are interested in receiving professional learning hours in the CA Workforce Registry, you must sign up on Workforce Registry, and you may not miss more than 15 minutes of the scheduled time for the session. If you log in more than 15 minutes late, you are allowed to participate in the session; however, you will not receive credit.
  • Complete all pre- and post-professional learning session assignments to receive full credit for each CPIN module. Each CPIN module is designed to be 3 to 4 hours of professional learning activities; however, each CPIN session via Zoom is only scheduled to be 2.5 hours long. To give you the opportunity to complete the required professional learning hours per CPIN module, CPIN instructors will assign at-home activities, such as reading articles and making discussion posts on a Padlet or uploading a document to a Google folder, or other activities as instructed.
  • Keep your video camera on and keep the microphone on mute unless you have comments or questions or are prompted to respond verbally.
  • Participate in all breakout session discussions and/or utilize web tools, such as Padlets, Mentimeters, Jamboards, Google Docs, etc.
  • Complete a feedback form.

Individuals with disabilities in need of auxiliary aides and services may request assistance by contacting ledwards@ocde.us. OCDE may take photographs of participants at the event. These photographs might be used to document the event, promote events in written materials, posted on the OCDE website or supplemental webpages, or on the digital frame in the entry to the OCDE office.
